Research

Sardar Mohammad has worked in the areas of Extreme Programming development methodology, Re-engineering process, Software Project Management, Risk Management and Quality Assurance.

In the area of Extreme Programming (XP), an agile software development methodology being light weight approach with maximum involvement of customer and having minimum documentation has being embraced by software industry but still candidate for optimization at the front end life cycle to achieve stable requirements, and has traceability and maintainability. This research addressed the area and proposed Extreme Use cases (X-Use cases). Because of the X-Use cases instrument XP scope has not only broaden the domain of customers but also achieved high level of traceability and maintainability of the products.

In the second area the focus was to develop an inspection model for re-engineering process targeting the abstraction phase.

In the third area of research an empirical approach was evolved for the project managers for the selection of appropriate process model based on project type, organization characteristics and team capability.
